Congratulations to the Wilcox women’s wrestling team for taking 4th place at the 2017 CCS Wrestling Championships! Valerie Vigil become Wilcox High School’s first time 3x CCS Individual Champion in wrestling with a 3-0 victory in the 145-pound finals!
Alexis Perez won her first CCS title in the 111-pound weight class, pinning all her opponents!
Jezebel Garcia fought hard but came up short in the finals and took 2nd place. All three wrestlers qualified for the CIF State Championships!
Charlie Nguyen took 4th place in the tournament, placing in the CCS tournament for the 3rd year in a row.
Also outstanding job by Mickaela Aguiniga, Morgane Gaucher and Carolynn Saucedo for their great effort in the tournament and contributing to the 4th place team finish!
